Maras Moray Salt Mines Biking Tours Cusco

Enjoy the greatest adventure on two wheels in the upper part of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, a trip that lead us to visit the mysterious Agricultural lab of the Quechuas (Incas) called Moray, We will visit the Maras village with its colonial houses and Inca salt Mines times running, all with the assistance of experienced guides specialized in mountain bike.

ROADMAP

Pick up from hotel at 7:30 am

After 50 minutes away by car arrived at the village of Cruzpata, from where we will started our adventure by bike, after a brief explanation of the place and the security measures necessary for a safe adventure, we will begin the up hill toward the archaeological complex of Moray, which was a great experimental laboratory setting, after an explanation of the place, we will go to the Maras salt mines.

In Maras we will see homes built in Spanish colonial times and their front doors carved in granite, which show some shield of Spanish families established on site, we will have lunch at Maras’s town.

After a short break we will ride to the salt mines that from the time of the Incas are operating today, providing salt to the city of Cusco and medicinal salt exported to the European community, it is possible to observe local workers on site.

Then we will ride to the Urubamba town, this is the most important city in the Sacred Valley of the Incas where we will have a bus to back to Cusco.

We will back to Cusco city (Cuzco) at 5:00 pm.
